Sometimes it’s easier to gauge whether a product is worth trying when you read testimonials – so we’ve been sent the below for you to get a feel of what Klima Antiperspirant has done for other people.I am thirty five and have spent all my life with an embarrassing and socially restricting problem of severe underarm sweating. Not being able to wear any colours, only really black and white. I used to put elastoplast plasters on the inside of my tops when I was a teenager going to disco’s to try and prevent the sweat coming through. I have never been able to wear any pretty tops or dresses, I never walked with confidence when I was out at weddings, functions etc as I was always conscious people could see the marks under my arms which would make me panic more and therefore sweat more. I have spent alot of time crying about it over the years so embarrassed by the condition and embarrassed to talk to anyone about it. I spoke eventually with my doctor but no products he suggested worked. I had contacted a clinic about surgery when I found the Sweat Guard website by accident one day. Klima antiperspirant has changed my life – I was a bridesmaid last year for a friend who chose a bright pink dress for me to wear which I could wear with confidence walking up the aisle infront of everyone knowing there would be no underarm sweat marks. I have gone mad on buying bright colour tops and I am loving having colour in my life. I only wish I had found this product years ago. I don’t think people understand how debilitating this condition can be and the effect it has on ones life and here is the solution.
Melanie – EireMy life was very hard before I used Klima Antiperspirant. I used to go home half way through work to get washed and put anti-perspirant deodorant on. I tried so many that did not stop me sweating, or the smell. I have now been using kilma for 4 months and it is just fantastic. I now have a better job dealing with the public.
I always used to hide away, it has honestly changed my life. Amazing product that works. Life begins.
Wendy – AberdeenshireIt really is truly amazing and I can not believe I do not sweat or smell any more in just 2 days. I recently brought your Kilma deodorant and I had my doubts that it would work. But my doubts have now completely disappeared.
Thank you so much sweatguard
Best regards
Nat – BerkshireHappy to say Klima actually works – I use it once every 2 days and I am dry all day long. I recently bought klima antiperspirant from sweatguard after trying numerous other antiperspirants to stop having wet marks all the time and ruining my clothes. As a 26 year old woman it looks awfull.
Ann – Tyne and WearI am totally amazed by my first purchase from Sweat Guard. First time I used klima antiperspirant, I was totally dry for 5 solid days. Tried loads of treatments from doctors, but they never worked. I will be using Sweat Guard again, totally amazing.
Joe – Tyne and Wear

Being a teacher it was quite embarassing when pupils pointed out my underarm wetness, from first bell to last bell of the day. That is until I tried Klima antiperspirant through Sweat Guard. A couple of sprays each evening means I can now enjoy the next day in the classroom without any distraction. Initially the underam felt so wet that it seemed incapable of working, but the ingredients take to work immediately and Klima antiperspirant is now what I use on a daily basis.

July 15th, 2011Site NewsA while ago I was very kindly sent a parcel by Sweat Guard (a UK based company) containing a few products to trial and blog about. This is the first blog in the series and it’s for the Iceover Deodorant Soap made by the American company Klima.
My first thought was that combining two products doesn’t always work too well, for instance if you have long hair, the 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner combos are pretty hopeless. And there’s no such thing as a soap-deodorant, is there?
On unwrapping the soap, it was clear that the bar was a really good size, far bigger than the average bar. The fragrance is unisex – very fresh and clean smelling with a relaxing scent, which to my mind is pretty clever because many people suffer with Hyperhidrosis through anxiety. They’ve certainly thought of everything!
The next test was whether the bar would become sloppy and soggy like some soaps can be. I certainly had no worries there. When I’d finished using it I stood it up on it’s end to make sure the bar dried as quickly as possible. I’ve been testing cosmetics for many famous and prolific manufacturers for a long time and out of all the bar soaps I’ve trialled, this is right up there for longevity.
The overall performance was very good, there’s plenty of rich suds and bubbles but not too much that it doesn’t rinse off quickly and efficiently. One thing I was particularly worried about was would it dry out or even irritate my skin? I’m really sensitive to most HH products, especially the underarm products. As this is a deodorising soap, my underarms were fine. My skin is pretty dry, I can’t use body lotions because I’ve never found one that absorbs and a) doesn’t make me hotter through not allowing my skin to breathe or b) that doesn’t slide off into a gloopy, sticky mess to possibly ruin yet another outfit. I was really pleased with the soap, my skin actually felt softer after using it. Granted, it might have been my imagination because I was checking for the normal ‘tight’ feeling but it just didn’t happen.
The most important part of this is the deodorising element, does it really work? There was only one way to find out – and I had the perfect opportunity. Since last August, we’ve been living upside down, renovating the whole house from top to bottom. It’s a small house with just the one bathroom (upstairs). We planned on installing a downstairs toilet and cloakroom and when that was up and running, we would have a wall knocked down in the bathroom, and the whole bathroom replaced, including the ceiling, walls and floor. This would mean the bathroom was out of bounds for at least five or six days, so we only had a tiny hand-basin (filled with hot water from the kettle) in the downstairs toilet to use for strip-washing ourselves. I don’t think I’ve ever had a day where I’ve gone without at least one shower, or generally speaking, two. As it turned out, it was during the first heatwave of the year back in April. Not the greatest of weeks to have chosen to be without a shower! Both my husband and myself used the soap and there’s no other way of saying this – not only did it work, it worked incredibly well. From face to feet, the soap performed everything it had promised. It left our skin cool and lightly fragranced and the superfresh feeling lasted for hours. I suffer from severe Primary Generalised Hyperhidrosis – my sweat pattern is that I sweat from my scalp to my feet. Although I was sweating between washes, I couldn’t detect a stale or sweaty aroma at all.
As far as I’m concerned, the soap more than fulfilled it’s promises, it kept my skin feeling cool, fresh and deodorised and didn’t strip any natural moisture from my skin, even on prolonged use – even the eczema on my hands.
This is FAR from being an ordinary soap and I recommend it to anyone – you don’t need to suffer with Hyperhidrosis to get the best from this soap as it’s a deodorant, not an antiperspirant.

January 6th, 2011Site NewsI’ve suffered from Hyperhidrosis my whole life, I don’t know what it’s like to not have to worry about the sweat or it’s effects on my appearance and confidence. My HH is Primary Generalised and I sweat from absolutely everywhere. My sweating has long been classed as ‘severe’.
Up until last year (2009), I had never sweated excessively in my underarm region or on my palms, and I considered myself ‘lucky’ that I at least had two areas that I didn’t have to worry about constantly. I don’t know what was different about last year, but I put the extra sweating down to the natural timely progression of the disease. Of course, new sweating means a new hunt for a suitable product (or products) to help me take control of the sweating so I can forget all about it and concentrate on something altogether more important. There began my uphill struggle.
Anyone and everyone who suffers from excessive sweating has the same fight – there are so many products on the market that all claim to work – so where do you start? There are a lot of things to bear in mind – the cost (having Hyperhidrosis can be expensive), there’s topical products, supplements, books, electronics, clothing – just about anything you can think of. What are the best/worst ingredients and how do you find out what they are? How about the company you’re buying from – are they reputable? What would be the best format for you and your personal situation? What if it doesn’t work – will you get your money back? How do you go about building up an effective strategy? We’re all building strategies all the time, even if it’s subconscious – we’re trying our hardest to hit on the elusive magic solution and maybe find the perfect remedy, whether it’s to disguise your sweat or even better, effectively stop it – even if it is only temporarily.
Seeing as my situation was about finding a solution to my underarm wetness, my options were thus – I needed to block, stop or disguise my sweat in the most effective way for me. I have always had problems with antiperspirants irritating my skin. Some irritate the second I’ve applied them and others are fine for a few days and then my skin reacts to the chemicals. One thing to remember is that whilst two different antiperspirants may have the same or very similar ingredients, they could react entirely differently on your skin. There’s no easy answer – it’s about gaining as much knowledge as you can and then making your best guess. We always recommend starting off with the mildest product and working your way up in strength. The antiperspirant that I have used for years was suddenly not doing the same job as it once did so it was time to completely rethink.
I got talking with a UK-based company called Sweat Guard Ltd about my situation and they very kindly sent me some products to try – underarm sweat shields, BoneDri 24 Hours antiperspirant deodorant,. First of all I tried the underarm sweat shields. You can read my review on them HERE Next on my list was the BoneDri. It is lower in strength than Klima antiperspirant so was the next logical step. I’ve worked my way through the entire range of antiperspirants that are available in the UK – and I’ve even been buying my antiperspirants in from the US as it’s the only place I’ve been able to find the brand that has worked for me for so long.
Day one. Nerves were kicking in although I’d not even taken the cap off – not a good start! I braced myself for the burning irritation I’ve suffered in the past – even from the milder every-day brands that adorn our shop shelves. I was pleasantly surprised by the fragrance – it’s neither masculine or feminine, it’s lovely and fresh and not at all overpowering. With all topical products, I make sure my skin is as dry as possible before application. Many antiperspirants sting like crazy if you apply them to damp skin. The BoneDri applied nice and evenly, it has a ball roll-on action. I applied the product generously as per the instructions and then had to wait until it was dry so I could get dressed. It was four or five minutes before I could I get dressed. I was pleasantly surprised to not have any irritation. I thought that it would either be happening imminently or in a few days – or that the product simply wouldn’t work on me. However, it felt nice and comfortable on, it didn’t feel like something wet and sticky had been applied and allowed to dry. So far, full marks.
This summer we were doing some renovations to our house – new kitchen and both bedrooms were fitted with built-in wardrobes. We downsized a couple of years ago and are streamlining our possessions and at last finding homes for the belongings we want to keep. All this meant we had to juggle an awful lot of things – our second bedroom was chock-full of boxes from our house move and we had to make more room for the furniture in our front bedroom, ready for the fitters to work in one room at a time. Then we had to move everything from the second bedroom once the first bedroom had been finished. At the same time, we had to empty all the cupboards in the kitchen and store it all in our very small (10ft x 11ft) living room. My husband did the majority of the work because of all my other health problems but I also got stuck in here and there. My Hyperhidrosis kicks in at the batting of an eyelid, if anything was going to test the antiperspirant, the physical movement during the height of Summer certainly was. True to form, after five minutes of light moving about, I was drenched with sweat and boiling up inside. I’d go and cool down for a while and then get back to work, I’m very careful because the feeling of overheating I get is overwhelming. This went on every weekday for two weeks.
With every day that passed, I was becoming more and more impressed with the BoneDri 24 Hours. I hadn’t had a single itch in all the time I’d been using it. What’s just as important, I didn’t have any wetness at all. I grew more and more confident by the day. The BoneDri lasted me just under seven weeks – but please bear in mind for the first week I was using the BoneDri under my right arm and my existing antiperspirant under my left arm. That’s the only true way to know how effective an antiperspirant/deodorant actually is as our sweating can be different from day to day.
My verdict on BoneDri is that it has to be a 10/10. I couldn’t tell I was wearing it – there was no irritation, no build-up of product, no lumpy, sticky or flaky bits where the product had dried badly, no unwanted underarm odours, no foul smell where the product had reacted with my skin chemistry and my confidence was sky-high, considering the endless sweats the BoneDri had seen me through. It really is a perfect place to begin in your attempt to combat your underarm sweat.
Whilst we can’t tell you what product to ultimately choose or who you buy it from, we can at least help you in your search and make some recommendations based upon our own knowledge and experiences. VSB has taken a lot of the leg-work out of this often overwhelming task by finding many reputable companies who are prepared to put themselves out to help their customers with their in-depth knowledge of Hyperhidrosis related products. They all sell top quality products that have been expertly formulated and are proven to have some fantastic results. Unfortunately there is no one product that will work for everyone, our bodies are all different and our relationship with our sweat is unique.
My thanks go to Sweat Guard for being so helpful at every stage, and for helping me to find BoneDri. Should my underarm sweating become worse over time, I’ll have to rethink my strategy – but for now, I feel very lucky to have found my solution so easily.

Sweat Guard’s website – opens in a new tab -
December 24th, 2010Site NewsAnother in our guest blogging series. This time the blog concentrates on a whole family’s experiences with Klima Products for their various personal fights with Hyperhidrosis.
Our thanks to go Klima for very kindly supplying the products.
Klima antiperspirant spray:
My name is Tim. I have always sweat more than usual. It was sometimes annoying, but I learned to live with it. What else are you going to do? I sweat excessively on my feet, chest, back, head and armpits. I don’t believe it is all that much more than others until someone points it out. More often, I just sweat in situations where normally someone wouldn’t sweat. I am 37 year old and in recent years, I have learned from a friend that we have a condition called Hyperhidrosis. My friend recently introduced me to a product from Klima to help reduce the sweating. I have to admit it works almost too well. When I used the antiperspirant spray from Klima, it completely stopped the sweating on my feet. It mostly stopped sweating on my back and chest as well. After I had used the Klima antiperspirant for a few days in a row, I only had to use it every few days for it to work. I now use it even less often, usually on occasions where I really don’t want to be seen sweating.Klima HyperDri Facade:
User, my son Ryan. Ryan is 12 years old and sweats excessively on his head and face. I was excited to hear about Facade from a friend because it was made especially for craniofacial hyperhidrosis (facial sweating). I was also excited to try the product out on my son because it is aluminum free and I don’t like over loading my son on aluminum products at such a young age because cancer runs in my family. The first week on the product I only noticed about a 20% decrease in my sons sweating but by the second week it worked a lot better with about a 50% decrease in his sweating but I did notice compensatory sweating on the top of his head. I would like to see Klima produce an aluminum free shampoo that my son could use and cut down on his entire heads sweating. I would also like to see an all over body wash. My son also tried Klima’s Hyperdri antipersperant gel for the body. He applied it under his arms in the morning for 3 weeks. It worked well and kept him dry under the arms for most of the day. It does irritate the skin if applied after a shower. Make sure you wait until completely dry to apply. Ryan also said it burns a little anyway. This product is completely aluminum free as well. The 1.7 oz. bottle only last for about 3 weeks.Klima HyperDri Freshfoot:
User, my daughter Clare. Clare is 9 yrs old and has sweaty, stinky feet and is starting to show signs of facial sweating. My friend recommended that I try freshfoot gel for Clare’s feet. The product was aluminum free which I love. I would apply the product before she would put on her
slip on tennis shoes. I bought a new pair of shoes so that I could tell how well the product was working. She picked a black pair of no tie, slip on, tennis shoes.. After three weeks of using the product her shoes didn’t have the white salt stains that sweat creates and they still smelled pretty good. Her last pair of tennis stunk so bad that I could smell them from the back seat while I was driving and they made me gag. I would always have to buy a new pair of cheap tennis shoes each month because of this. Clare did complain of a slight burn when the gel was first applied and by the end of the bottle of gel her feet started to peel from dryness.Bone Dri antiperspirant roll on:
User, Jackie age 43. I was given two bottles of this roll on by my neighbor to try. I sweat the most under my arms and bra line. I absolutely LOVED this product. It glided on easily and dried quickly and would keep me dry for 24 hrs. I would even spread it under my breasts. It worked great!! The 2 bottles only lasted about 5 weeks

November 10th, 2010Site NewsA brief introduction – this is another in our series of guest blogs from our brave and lovely forum members. Dave lives in the Philippines and suffers from palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating on his hands and feet) . This blog is being very kindly sponsored by Klima Health Solutions who are sending Dave some products to help get his sweating under control – Klima Confidence Handspray and Hyperdri Grip aluminum-free antiperspirant serum. We’re looking forward to hearing from Dave once he’s tried the products. We’ll keep you informed!
All links open in a new window.
Hi! Everyone! My name is Dave and I’m living in the Philippines as you will know i suffer from Hyperhidrosis on Hands and Feet.
When i was a child i didn’t notice that i have difference with my playmates, we usually play with intensely hand to hand contact but i kind a notice the sweating on my feet because i always wear slippers which doesn’t bother me also on that time. I truly notice that i have a substantial difference when i was in High School beginning on 2nd Year because i started truly socializing with other people and because this is my first time dating a woman and it is very rarely that i hold my girlfriend hands because I’m kind an anxious on what will be her opinion by that, therefore I came secret with it, until we break up i think she didn’t know that i have a Hyperhidrosis. Here in the Philippines Hyperhidrosis doesn’t give attention by government or by the society. They all think that it is normal. With my 20 years living here i never heard that the government have taken measure how to deal with it. My parents always say that’s it is normal and it is not a big deal, it is true that HH will not deteriorate you’re health even you don’t cure it will not affect you’re health condition, Indeed but for HH sufferer it will deteriorate you’re self-confidence and you’re social interaction to others. It changes your life enormously. Sometimes i get to think why i have this HH? Because among my family and relatives i am the only one who has on it then i read an article that inheritance is one possible factor of having a HH.
Sometimes I’m kind a jealous when i see they can wear slippers proudly. I usually like slippers and I’d love wearing them as my fashion but HH became a hindrance for me to switch from buying a shoe rather buying slippers. Onetime I’m ashamed when buying slipper in a local department store it is essential to try the slippers if it’s suits you but after I’ll try it I’ll be leaving traces of sweat on the sole of the slippers which is kind a embarrass especially when there a sales lady who assisting you there are other shoppers who wants to try that certain slipper.
Simple things on others are substantial important on me as an HH sufferer a simple shakes hands is absolutely normal but if you have HH it precious to shake your hands without sweating. I’ll get definitely anxious when I know I get to shake hands as a result I will shake his hand as little contact as possible. A simple high five but as an HH you must check if you’re are hands are wipe with handkerchief or sometimes will high five him with a fist (just like in the boxing). Here in the Philippines all of the commuters are riding a Jeepney when riding a jeepney the other passenger is away from the driver he or she will ask you to get his fare and pass it to the other passenger so that the jeepney driver will get his or her fare with that essential activity riding a jeepney I’m always leaving the passenger’s money with sweaty coins and wet money papers I’m very embarrassed with the driver and the passengers especially when the one who will ask to pass his or her fare is my peer. Also I’m very glad when I’m writing without having a handkerchief below my hands so that paper doesn’t have traces of sweat. Currently I’m in 4th year college and i kind an anxious eventually especially when i will take my on the job training which I will socialize in the outside world on the world of business and especially when I will take a job interview that shaking hands and writing on a paper will be indispensable.
HH in a Tropical Country have also a great impact because it is always hot so my hands sweat profusely. I also tried to treat this tried an antiperspirant from a dermatologist. Indeed it decrease my sweat a little and I’m not satisfied with the product, i decided to stop using it because It kind a costly and you buy it over and over again and for sure it will burden for my parents to add as their expenses for them. Financial Status in life is also an enormous factor to cure this HH because remedy for HH will take you a lot of money because my father’s salary is only sufficient to deal first with necessities so to my eagerness to have cure it I searched in the internet and I saw making your own homemade iontophoresis unfortunately it doesn’t work for me. Using it i feels a strong sensation that it will hurt you specially when your deep your hands in the water and when you change the polaris of the electric current in my determination i tolerated the pain when having this I also added additional volts to increase its effectiveness unfortunately doesn’t work for me with that I stop using it and have little bruises have it. I try using it every day or every other day for 2-3 weeks
HH affects greatly on your life, my passion is in music by playing musical instrument, i first started playing guitar and it is a totally a hindrance to play guitar having a HH on it, you can’t do your full potential playing on it, I’m also anxious when I’ll borrow my friend’s guitar then play a song then gave it back they will always say that “i know who use the guitar it’s Dave! Look there are traces on it” i feel embarrassed when they saying that. Even though my friends know it, but i didn’t say that i have HH they know it because they recognize it because all the time I’m using a handkerchief until now I’m not opening a topic about them I’m very embarrassed even they know it. But all of the negatives of having it, i still stay optimistic that eventually i don’t have to worry on my sweat and I will have a worry-free socializing with other.
God always challenges us and i know this is the one of his challenge gave in me and i will transcend it with the help of my love one’s and especially with the faith on God. We must not lose hope and have a faith.
